Here's the metal Big Boi, Stonewall. A warforged cleric for Li Faung.
Drawing Warhammer40k-esque characters, especially if they're not organic, gives me a really exciting ability of exagerrating their proportions. Like making the lower arms massive to give the character more weight.
Militaristic armour is something that gives you a very clear line to work on, but can sometimes turn out boring or interchangable. I don't want my guy to look like every other footsoldier. So I add emblems and accessories to break up the symmetry. The enlargend shoulderplate also gives the vibe of a more high-ranking officer.
I am really happy with the end result of this piece, because I managed to portray a powerful, but at the same time not too agressive character. Despite his size, he's not someone you should be scared of. He's someone you should stick close to in a fight, because he will always have your back.
